Look at our battery area, where we've set the iPhone 7 against alternate iPhones available right now - how much preferred is it over the iPhone 6S, and would it be able to beat the littler iPhone SE?
How about we get directly down to it: if Apple had propelled the iPhone 7 set up of the iPhone 6S a year ago, it would likely have been the telephone of the year.
We're utilized to the S variations of the iPhone being insignificant updates – quite recently the perfect measure of progress to support a buy by those with maturing handsets – and if the bunch changes on this new iPhone had touched base in 2015, it would have been awesome.
Rather than the iPhone 6S, with only a 3D Touch screen in the method for new components and a couple control helps all over, we'd have had a waterproof handset with double speakers, a brighter and more beautiful screen and a supported 12MP camera that took preferred pictures over the one on the iPhone 6.
Changing the home catch from an interactive substance to something that reacts to weight – and potentially even the loss of the earphone jack – would have been viewed as imaginative and option in an ocean of identikit handsets.
Also, if Apple had tossed in the new Jet Black complete with a top-end 256GB stockpiling model… well, that would have been a genuine challenger, a possibility for the brand to push off the 'tick-tock' mindset of keeping the littler overhauls bound to the S variations, and advise us that it just makes incredible telephones.
In any case, that didn't occur, and now the metronomic nature of Apple's redesigns appears to have stopped – or the pendulum is trapped.
